LANDSCAPE DESIGNER VERSUS LANDSCAPER
A landscape designer is a professional who designs outdoor spaces and gardens by preparing detailed plans, sketches or concepts for clients. The designer is qualified with a great knowledge of horticulture and plants, with this they can create outdoor living spaces and gardens to suit clients requirements and budgets.
A landscaper on the other hand are profesional in the trade for construction, there are 2 types of landscapers -one being a soft landscaper (or gardener) whom really install plants and trees , they have a greater horticulture knowledge. Whereas a Structural landscaper have broader range of knowledge in mainly construction, such as paving, concreting, fencing including irrigation and drainage aspects of a garden. They can also be building pergolas/decking ( Carpentry) , Retaining walls ( brick block laying ) and so much more regarding outdoor structures.
Today the landscape industry is a bit like housing , but we create outdoor living areas - such a pool rooms, outdoor kitchens , edible gardens, sporting rooms, really anything that you are likely to enjoy outdoors. Be creative and enjoy our livable climate.
